Who Gives the Bridal Shower and When?
There are always so many questions when it comes to bridal shower etiquette or wedding shower etiquette. Hopefully we can supply some answers to the most common bridal shower questions. These days, the tradition of a wedding shower being hosted exclusively by the bridesmaids has disappeared. It is perfectly acceptable for anyone (other than the bride's mother or sister) to give the bridal shower. If they so desire, another party (where gifts are not expected) can be given by the bride's mother or sister.

Many brides have more than one wedding shower and even brides on their second marriage find it within proper etiquette to have wedding showers. The bridal shower should be held 4 to 6 weeks prior to the wedding date, this gives the bride time to get out her thank you notes. Go ahead and try something different from the "traditional" wedding shower. Bridal shower invitation etiquette suggests that it is acceptable, fun and creative to assign a different room for different guests,. The guest should bring a bridal shower gift geared towards that room. Make sure to include the kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom and dont forget the bedroom!

Bridal Party Checklist
Four to Eight Weeks Before Party
1. Set the Date and Location: Showers should be held about two weeks to two months before the wedding. Earlier is better. Pick a convenient location - either someone's home or a nearby location like a restaurant or hall.
2. Create the Guest List: Check with your bride on who she would like to invite! Keep it manageable and plan two events if needed.
3. Set the Party Theme: Have fun! This is your chance to be creative.
4. Buy your Invitations: Our bridal shower invitations make it easy to plan your special shower. Check them out today!

Three to Fours Weeks Before Party
1. Send Invitations: Send your bridal shower invitations to invited guests. Don't forget the directions!
2. Plan the Menu: Keep the menu consistent with your theme but also be mindful of food allergies, special dietary needs, etc.
3. Decide on Decorations and Centerpieces: Have fun but don't go overboard! Order your flowers and visit your local party store.
4. Order Bridal Shower Favors: At WeddingFavorSeeds.com, we make your day both special and personal! Our wedding favor seed packets come in eight varieties and can be customized with your font and color. At less than $1.00 per packet, they make the perfect favor that will last a lifetime.

The Week of the Party
1. Go Shopping: Prepare a detailed list of all items you will need for the party. Include food, drinks, party goods and decorations. Start early to make sure you have plenty of time to prepare!
2. Recruit Help: Make sure you have enough help lined up to prepare for the party as well as make sure guests needs are taken care of during the party. And don't forget the clean-up crew!!
3. Prepare the Party Site: Make sure there is plenty of room for guests to sit and eat. If someone is hosting the party at their home, offer to have the lawn cut and house cleaned for them. Plan ahead for time to decorate the venue.
4. Buy Your Shower Gift: Check out your brides registry and buy her something you know she would like! It is customary to spend between $25 and $50 for a shower gift.

The Bridal Shower!!
1. Gift and Food Tables: Set up separate food and gift tables. Make sure favors are in a prominent place for guests to pick up and take with them.
2. Make a Journal: Help your bride by recording all gifts and givers! She'll thank you later for making it so easy.
3. Greet Guests with a Smile: Welcome your guests and make sure everyone gets to mingle.
4. Enjoy the Day: You've done everything necessary to make this day extra special for your bride-to-be.
