Attendant Gifts Etiquette
|
Wedding attendant gifts can be any gift of appreciation that you feel expresses your gratitude for your attendants’ support of your marriage. Bridesmaid gifts can range from jewelry that matches their dresses to a unique gift chosen by the bride for each individual person. Either way the gift should represent your appreciation of their long cherished friendship. The honor attendants may receive an additional or more expensive gift for all the additional work they may have done, such as planning the bridal shower. Traditionally bridal attendant gifts are items personalized with the attendant's name, initials or monogram and often include the wedding date or special comment or phrase. These gifts don't have to be expensive but they should create a special and lasting meaning. Everyone in the wedding should receive a gift of thanks: bridal attendants including junior bridesmaids, your groomsmen, the flower girl, the ring bearer and altar boys. Many couples wish to include gifts for their parents as well. The gifts are traditionally given before the wedding, often at the rehearsal dinner. You could also hold an attendant&requo;s dinner to give the gifts then or you may want to give them in private to each attendant. The choice is yours, just remember that these gifts will commemorate your wedding day and the true friendship of your supportive attendants. ©2010 WeddingFavorSeeds.com
